Falesia Going for Gold

The Falesia Hotel in Acoteias, Algarve, has not one but two gold merits to its name. The Falesia is the proud owner of the coveted annual 'Gold Medal' for the current season, which is judged and awarded by you through our satisfaction questionnaire. The Falesia, a stylish holiday hotel with an excellent 4T+ rating, is located in a tranquil, scenic location. Along with the Falesia's Gold Medal award, it also has several excellent holiday reviews from visitors to the hotel.

There are many features about the Falesia that keep visitors returning, holiday after holiday...The Falesia's impressive, elegant lobby, filled with plants, gives it a wonderful tropical feel as soon as you walk through the door. The extensive mature gardens, complete with water cascade and fish pond with bridge, add to the sense that the hotel is the perfect spot to unwind completely, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and stunning scenery of the Algarve's dramatic coastline. Surrounded by the area's distinctive umbrella-shaped pine trees, the Falesia sits on the scenic and rugged Algarve coast. The long stretch of Praia de Falesia beach, backed by red cliffs and holder of a Blue Flag award, is about 1.4km away. You'll find bars, restaurants and a handful of shops within 300 metres of the hotel. The Falesia is only 5 minutes from Olhos D'Agua and just 15 minutes from Albufeira and 20 minutes to Vilamoura.

As a Gold hotel, the Falesia is ideal for those holidaying without children and, whilst there might be children here travelling with different holiday companies, we will not accept bookings for guests under 16. The circular swimming pool with its surrounding terraces and free sunbeds is a great place to spend time relaxing. There's also a pool bar and a heated indoor pool.

Overlooking the beautiful gardens, the non-smoking buffet restaurant at the Falesia Hotel is fully air-conditioned. You can look forward to a full programme of daytime and evening entertainment from your Thomson Gold hosts, or if you're in the mood for a more mellow evening, you could retire to the TV lounge or relax in the show bar in the lobby area. There are many leisure facilities to take advantage of here, such as tennis, table tennis, pool or bicycle hire. And if pampering is your idea of holiday bliss, why not relax with a massage, take a dip in the whirlpool bath or unwind with a Turkish bath. For golf enthusiasts, Pinecliffs Golf Course is located next to the hotel, whilst many others are within a short drive, some with special rates available for our guests. There are many other active pursuits available nearby, including water skiing, sailing, horse riding and clay pigeon shooting.
